Pastor Lary J. Stephens II is husband of Angye Stephens, and the father of one daughter Tyler, Little Lary, E.J, Cyrus, and Isaiah. Our pastor take great joy in spending time with his family. Pastor Lary J. Stephens is a Native from Detroit Michigan, where he was born and raised. Pastor Lary J. Stephens II moved to Philadelphia, PA in 1992. Pastor Lary J. Stephens II graduated from Wilmington University located in New Castle, Delaware where he received his Bachelors Degree in Business Administration July of 2004, and proceeded to receive his Masters Degree in Human Resource Management in 2006. Pastor Lary J. Stephens is currently working on his third Degree, which is a Ph.D in Christian Counseling at the Theological seminary. Pastor Lary J. Stephens accepted his calling to preach the Gospel in March of 1998.
Pastor Lary J. Stephens was appointed as the Pastor of Christian Education at a Mega Church in Piladelphia, PA where he used his Administrative gift to re-define the Christian Education Department. Pastor Lary J. Stephens used his influence to build and enhance the kingdom by partnering with Eastern University a Christian College. That relationship resulted in Eastern University for the first time in it's history bringing accelerated accredited degree program classes into the church to be offered to adult learners. Pastor Lary J. Stephens took a dying Biblical instute that averaged 30- 40 students, and turned it around the first semester of his appointment as Pastor of Christian Education creating a synergy among the membership that resulted in 450 students enrolling and attending the Bible Institute.
Pastor Lary J. Stephens having the heart, love, and respect for his Bishop used his God given influence to build relationships with the administrative Leaders at Eastern University & Palmer Seminary that resulted in Pastor Lary J. Stephens getting his Bishop inducted as one of the few black Pastor's into the wall of fame at Palmer Seminary.
After Pastor Lary J. Stephens doing all he could do to assist his Bishop in driving the vision of his spiritual father/Bishop/Pastor, Pastor Lary J. Stephens began to realize he had vision that God had put in him that would require Pastor Lary J. Stephens stepping out on faith.
Pastor Lary J. Stephens accepted his calling as Sr. Pastor in January of 2009. As a result NBHC Inc. was birthed in New Castle, Delaware.
Pastor Lary J. Stephens was inspired to create a place where people could worship in spirit and truth; in addition worshippers will get educated, restored, and empowered ultimately resulting in people having the opportunity to become whole. Pastor Lary J. Stephens in his charismatic contextual method of teaching & Love for God people made a vow to God to never forget where God has brought him from. As a result he has committed his life to helping PEOPLE that learn better through the Word of God, and teaching them how to apply that word to their daily life. The miinistry started with 14 members doingb Bible Study every Wednesday, and has grown to over 52 members in 3 years, and growing more every Sunday.
